We live and breathe water quality, it’s what we do best. A reverse osmosis water filtration system is considered the gold standard of home water treatment, offering exceptional purification and taste improvement for your household water supply.
When you choose Waterbird Home Solutions, you can trust that we’ll never recommend a system you don’t need. While a whole-home reverse osmosis system is always an upgrade, our team will provide honest guidance to help you decide what level of reverse osmosis water treatment is right for your home.
What is Reverse Osmosis?
A reverse osmosis (RO) system is one of the most effective methods for producing clean, great-tasting water. This advanced water filtration technology removes up to 99% of more than 65 common contaminants, giving you safer, clearer water straight from your tap.
The reverse osmosis water filtration process works by pushing water through a semi-permeable membrane at high pressure, removing microscopic impurities. Before that, a pre-sediment filter eliminates larger particles. After passing through the membrane, the water is “polished” with post-filtration and stored in a tank for later use—ensuring every glass you pour is fresh and pure.
Why Upgrade to a Whole-home Reverse Osmosis System?
Investing in a whole-home reverse osmosis system is one of the smartest ways to improve your home’s overall water quality and value. Beyond better taste and clarity, this level of reverse osmosis water treatment delivers long-term benefits that impact your daily life and household health.
Some of the benefits of a Reverse Osmosis System include:
-
Longer lasting appliances
-
Improved water quality
-
Better health
-
Higher homes values

Frequently Asked Questions
How does a reverse osmosis system improve drinking water quality?
Reverse osmosis forces water through a semipermeable membrane, removing up to 99% of dissolved solids, heavy metals, and contaminants—delivering crisp, great-tasting water at your tap.
What maintenance does an RO system require?
Pre-filters and post-filters should be replaced every 6–12 months; the RO membrane typically lasts 2–3 years. Waterbird Home Solutions can set automatic reminders for filter changes.
Will an RO system lower my water pressure?
High-quality RO units include built-in pressure regulators to maintain flow; slight pressure drops are normal but usually unnoticeable for drinking and cooking needs.
Is a point-of-use RO system right for my home?
RO is ideal for drinking and cooking water. If you need whole-house treatment, consider combining RO with a whole-home filtration system for comprehensive protection.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
How much wastewater does an RO system produce?
Modern RO systems typically reject 2–4 gallons of wastewater for every gallon of purified water. High-efficiency models minimize waste while maintaining output.

THE PRODUCT:
Very clean and pure tasting!
A family member (late 70s) who is critical of everything and everyone, who looks for the bad in all things, came over and I gave him a sandwich and a glass of water. His eyes got really big as he exclaimed, “Where did you get this water!? This is the best water I’ve ever tasted in my life!”
My husband was also very pleasantly surprised. He was doubtful that it would be any good, told me that the kids and I could drink that all we want but once he finds out that it’s not that good, he’d still want me to buy jugged water. He came home after it was installed, took his first few drinks, and said, “You’re never gonna have to buy jugs of water again!”
PRICE:
We just moved in here, and we are a water drinking family. We were on pace to spend $150 per month in jugged water, between drinking it, cooking with it, coffee, tea, etc. Did the quick math and found that this system would pay for itself in 8-9 months. And in two years when the cartridge will be replaced, compared to our previous monthly output for jugged water, it would pay for itself in 3-4 months. Getting a water system that tests as clean and pure as it tastes, and saves a ton of money in the long run, was a no-brainer.
The week prior to the consultation visit, the company that services our water softener system gave us a quote for a filtered drinking water system, and it was literally twice the amount.
THE PEOPLE:
I talked to an actual human when I called! Not only was she not a robot or an automated system, she was exceptionally friendly and cheerful.
Chase came out to assess and chat, and again to install. When he was here, I had a contractor here working on our septic tank. The contractor hit a water line, and even though it wasn’t Chase’s job or problem, he jumped to help, even making a trip to the hardware store to get what was needed for them.
The day he installed our system, he took the liberty of cleaning the end of our faucet of the sediment that had built up. He didn’t get annoyed at my curious kids, not even my son that was diagnosed with ASD-2 that doesn’t grasp the concept of personal space. He was very friendly with them, let them “help,” and made them feel seen and valuable to his tasks.
Outstanding folks, outstanding product!
